If only Plan A didn't work out

On our way home from Disneyland we took a short detour and landed at Laguna Beach.
It was a little chilly, but we all had a blast.

I love the beach, I love watching and hearing the waves.
I love the smell of sunscreen mixed with sand (didn't Kramer make that into a perfume?)
I love watching people enjoy the ocean, especially my kids.
Jett was asleep in the car most of the time so he didn't get to play with us.
Havyn jumped over the waves and Krew watched her until he was finally
brave enough to jump them with her.  The first wave wiped him out, he got all wet and then he was done.

I am entertaining the idea of buying a van turning it into a huge taco
and live my life selling tacos on the beach.
(I don't think Jack would need even a little convincing to live that lifestyle.
It was actually Plan B if he didn't get into PA school.)

Leaping Leperchauns

That mischievous little leprechaun sure had his way with our house.
Not only did he leave our shoes filled with treats, breakfast
and green shirts to wear but he also raised havoc in our house.
Chairs were turned over, pictures frames were turned around
and he even peed in our toilet leaving his green footprints on our toilet seat.
Happy St. Leprechaun's Day
Hope you don't get pinched!

M.I.C - see ya real soon! K.E.Y. - Y? Because we like you

After we said good-bye to Grandma and Grandpa we went to California Adventure Park. It was fun to see the Pixar characters that our kids love.

Havyn helped entertain Jett with "if you're happy and you know it" during the looooong lines.

Clearly one of the highlights of our trip was for Krew to see "Ka Chow and Mater."

We loved every minute of our trip, can't wait to go again......in five or six years. :)

Happy 6th Birthday

When Havyn was 3 we promised her that we would take her to Disneyland when she was 5.
(We kind of hoped she wouldn't remember, but she reminded us from time to time since then.)
We were one day late and technically Jack and I didn't take her to Disneyland, but thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Saunders she was able to celebrate her birthday at Disneyland in style!

The Surprise:
After SeaWorld we drove to Anaheim and when Havyn woke up she
went on a balloon scavenger hunt to find out where
we were going to spend the day.
At the end of the scavenger hunt there was a shirt with Minnie Mouse on it.
(yes, the present was hidden in the oven, no, the oven was not on)

Grandma Margaret gave Havyn a makeover at the Bibbidy Boppity Boo Boutique. She was in Heaven!! Havyn picked out a Sleeping Beauty Dress, got her nails painted, hair and make up, received some bling and topped it off with a Birthday Sash. She was wished Happy Birthday from everyone in the park. See what I mean about celbrating her birthday in style!
We celebrated the rest of the day in regular Disneyland fashion. Rides, dancing, food, fun, tears and lines. We had a great time and Havyn loved being surprised with going to Disney on her birthday. Thanks so much Dave and Margaret! See you real soon!
